Experiences of those who have trusted me

Reading the experiences of those who have already undergone the therapeutic process can help you take the first step. Every story is unique, but many people have found relief, greater clarity, and well-being after beginning their recovery process.

Here you'll find real testimonials that reflect what it can mean to start psychological counseling.

I've never been to a psychologist before, so I can't compare him to other professionals, but all I can say is, he's helped me a lot, and I recommend him.

When I came to your office, I really didn't think anyone could help me, and now, although I still need a few more sessions to feel completely confident, I feel like I'm feeling good. I've healed my relationships with other people, I feel better about myself, I'm eager to do things again...

To you, who are reading this because you need help, Miguel is a very respectful professional. He doesn't judge you. In the consultation, you tell us how you feel, what's happening to you, and he uses questions to make you reflect and understand what's happening to you, using your own tools.

I explain this because I know that many of us may be hesitant to start psychological therapy, and knowing a little about the dynamics can help us take the next step.

Thanks for everything. 😘

I've been in therapy with Miguel for a while now, and my experience has been incredibly positive. He's been helping me tremendously overcome my agoraphobia caused by being hit by a car and my anxiety issues. He's a lovely person with whom you connect from the first consultation. He's a great professional who knows how to help you. Thanks to his therapy, my life is returning to normal, and I'm back to where I was before.

I've been in therapy with Miguel since November 2024. We've worked on several things, and for the first time, I feel like I'm improving thanks to his therapies, not only thanks to the great work Miguel does, but also thanks to his attitude toward his patients (personally speaking).

Thank you so much for pointing out that psychology is your passion and for helping people in need the way you do.

Miguel is approachable and attentive, empathetic, and above all, and what I value most, with his reflections he makes you see the circumstances clearly. He doesn't focus only on the root of the problem, but also on giving you tools to tackle it... I continue in therapy with him to develop better cognitive flexibility and I'm delighted. In addition, my sessions are online and it's very convenient to work this way.

Good afternoon, Miguel. My experience as your patient has been beneficial. I started out anxious and sad due to a stressful family situation, and little by little, thanks to the therapy you use, I've been able to distance myself from the problem and find the resources to manage it. I've learned to "tame the lions" that appear and to feel safe. Thank you for your good work and for helping me overcome the paralyzing ego.

How can I help you?

My work isn't just about applying techniques. What truly defines my approach is the combination of methods backed by scientific evidence with personalized, close, and respectful care. For me, it's essential to establish a relationship of trust, based on empathy and a genuine commitment to the psychological well-being of each person who decides to begin their journey with me.

I understand therapy as a shared process, where each step is built with you, respecting your pace, needs, and abilities. My goal is to help you understand what's happening to you and to be by your side with transparency, closeness, and commitment. I strive to ensure that each part of the process is tailored to you, without pressure or imposed expectations, because each person has their own path, and every story deserves to be heard with attention and respect.

I am actively involved in every therapeutic process. I dedicate time to reflect, plan, and adjust each step according to the individual's needs at that moment in their life. I work professionally, continually training, and always respecting the ethical and legal principles that govern the practice of Health Psychology.

In my consultations, I offer a safe, confidential, and judgment-free space where each person can express themselves freely and feel understood. I work with honesty: I don't believe in quick fixes or supposed shortcuts. I focus on a clear, realistic, and respectful approach that takes into account the complexity of each person's emotional distress.

Empathy is the foundation of my approach to counseling. I listen attentively, without judging, without imposing interpretations, or without downplaying each person's feelings. My goal is not only to alleviate present discomfort, but also to help you develop tools that will allow you to face future challenges with greater confidence, autonomy, and well-being.

I know it's not always easy to take the step of asking for help. That's why I deeply value the trust each person places in me by opening up and allowing me to accompany them through their journey. If you're going through a difficult time, I want you to know that you don't have to face it alone. I'm here to support you with professionalism, kindness, and commitment.

About me

My name is Miguel Fernández Galán and I am a General Health Psychologist (registered AN11153).

From a very young age, I felt a genuine desire to understand human suffering and how it influences the way we think, feel, and act. Over time, that interest transformed into a clear calling: to help people improve their psychological well-being through tools backed by scientific evidence and a close, empathetic, and respectful therapeutic relationship.

I offer specialized psychological care to people experiencing emotional distress who wish to regain their well-being. I use a practical, effective, and evidence-based approach: cognitive-behavioral therapy. This model allows us to understand what is causing the distress and intervene in the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that sustain it, with the goal of promoting real and lasting changes in each person's life.

Throughout my career, I have assisted adults, children, adolescents, and their families in the treatment of various psychological disorders and difficulties. These include obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and its various manifestations, depression, and anxiety disorders, which include specific phobias, panic disorder with or without agoraphobia, generalized anxiety, psychosomatic disorders, and psychologically-related sexual dysfunctions.

I also work with grief, self-esteem issues, and stress management. I also offer couples and family therapy in situations where emotional distress or lack of communication affects the relationship or the functioning of the family system.

I currently practice in Seville, where I offer psychological care both in person and online. I provide services in Spanish and English to adults, adolescents, children, and families.
